Senior Graphic Designer, ManTech International Corp.

August 2010 – Present

                        

Provide graphics support to the NRO research and development branch.  Use my extensive experience in multimedia, marketing, corporate branding, web and print design to create products that are used in meetings with external organizations, and during senior Government and Congressional reviews to better describe what our organization is working on.

 

  • Design various types of print publications from concept to final production. 
     

  • Create graphics and 3D environmental displays to support conferences, develop and maintain a graphics filing database, and support various graphics requests. 
     

  • Work with technical editors, writers, security and my government lead to coordinate publication content, approval, circulation and distribution.  Prepare files for publishing to the web and production printing.

Chugach Management Services, Inc. from 2001 – 2009

DCR/Lockheed Martin Staffing Services until 2010 

                        

Provided graphics support for NGA’s Corporate Communications office.  Supervised a team of eight graphic designers, managing an annual team workload of over 4,500 work orders. These projects were various types of print design, 3D environmental displays, web and multimedia graphics supporting NGA’s communications with its workforce, the Department of Defense, Congress, the Intelligence Community, the public, and foreign governments. 

                      

  • Reviewed the team’s products for quality control and completed annual performance reviews.  
     

  • Trained new designers on security procedures and the use of software, hardware, required templates and file formats.
     

  • Consulted with clients throughout the agency on their project requirements and design ideas. Coordinated projects with copyeditors, photographers, multimedia video, and web teams.
     

  • Designed the bimonthly agency newsmagazine, the Pathfinder

I supported the main NIMA Corporate Communications shop providing graphics, various signage and exhibit support for the conferences that was attended annually by agency personnel.

 

  • Mounted and laminated products and fabricated exhibit panels
     

  • Created and assembled awards using a wide range of materials for presentation to employees and seniors of NIMA, visiting VIPs, and foreign dignitaries
     

  • Designed banners, signage and posters using the Adobe Creative Suite

Graphic Artist at Maryland Independent Newspaper

August 1997 – October 2000

                        

Designed advertisements for various local and corporate clients that ran in our newspapers.  Worked with advertisement agencies to prepare their weekly ads for publication.  Built our Real Estate section and our Church Pages weekly and helped build other sections. Assisted in training new employees in various technical aspects related to their job.
